Tattoo Preservation

Aftercare Guidelines

  • Leave Second-Skin On

Keep the medical protective adhesive bandage on for the first 24 hours. It shields the raw open wound from dirt, contaminants, and friction.

  • Avoid Alcohol & Exercise

Alcohol thins your blood and causes excessive bleeding/ink pushing. Intense workouts lead to sweat buildup and skin stretching that damages healing skin lines.

  • Wash Gently (2x Daily)

Wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and mild, unscented antibacterial soap. Use your hands only; do not use washcloths or abrasive sponges.

  • Apply Unscented Ointment

After washing, pat dry with a clean paper towel. Apply a very thin layer of recommended aftercare balm (e.g. Aquaphor or Hustle Butter). Skin must breathe.

  • Do NOT Scratch or Peel

As the tattoo heals, it will flake, peel, and itch. Scratching or picking flakes will pull ink out of the dermis, creating permanent light spots.

  • Avoid Pools and Direct Sun

Never submerge a healing tattoo in pools, hot tubs, or ocean water. Protect it from direct sunlight. Once healed, always apply SPF 50+ sunscreen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing depends on size, detail, placement, and the specific artist. Marcus, Elena, and Kai have standard hourly rates starting at $150/hr, or full-day session rates ranging from $1,000 to $1,400. We offer free consultation sessions via our booking assistant to give you accurate estimates.

Get a full 8 hours of sleep the night before. Hydrate well and eat a hearty meal 2-3 hours before your appointment to keep your blood sugar up. Do not consume alcohol or aspirin for 24 hours prior, as these thin your blood. Wear comfortable clothing that provides easy access to the location being tattooed.

Our booking assistant creates a consultation ticket. We contact you to schedule an initial discussion (in-person or Zoom). Once the artist aligns on your concept and timeline, a reservation deposit is taken to secure your actual tattooing dates.
